Here they are– our favorite 5 new songs of 2017. These songs are SURE to get your dance floor rocking. Agree? Disagree? Let us know!
1. Despacito, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee Ft. Justin Bieber
This song is so danceable it’s scary. This is easily one of the best dance songs of the past 5 years AND the best part is… it’s not played out yet. You can strike while the iron is hot if you’re getting married in the next few months. Not only is this song incredible, but it is beat-matches perfectly with Enrique Iglesias’ Bailando.
2. That’s What I Like, Bruno Mars
Music has changed a ton over the past few years. Four years ago, every song was 128 BPMs (Beats Per Minute). Now, you’ll rarely find a song over 105 BPMs. That’s What I Like clocks in at 67 BPMs! Don’t call it a “Slow Song” though, you’d be amazed at how much your guests will love this song. Some of our most memorable moments of this summer have come as a result of this song.
3. Let me Love You, DJ Snake ft. Justin Bieber
This song is probably the most singable on this list. It’s crazy catchy. Your guests will be singing it at the top of their lungs. And when the beat drops a minute into the song, this song turns into a good old-fashioned banger.
4. I Feel It Coming, The Weeknd Ft. Daft Punk
This song accomplishes something few songs are able to do- it will instantly make you feel excruciatingly happy. It’s good vibes are infectious. Of all the songs on the list, this is probably the easiest on the ears. The vocals are beautifully done. We could listen to it on repeat for hours. Maybe even days. Plus, Daft Punk is in this song… so yeah, it’s basically amazing.
5. It Ain’t Me, Kygo and Selena Gomez
This is a good song because it’s super danceable, but it has an Indie vibe to it. Think of it as the new Geronimo from a few years ago— just a little less energy. You or your guests may have an aversion to rap/hip hop, and if that’s the case, this could be a great song for your wedding’s dance floor.
