Because we value the integrity of our events, we don’t allow them to become sales opportunities for our business. We just don’t feel right inviting our own guests to other people’s weddings. You can be confident though that we will take the same approach with your wedding.
Yes. We have full liability insurance with a coverage value of $1,000,000. We are happy to provide you or your venue with a copy of our insurance policy upon request.
Very involved. Once you book our DJ Services, we’ll send you 3 Google Docs; “Must Play”, “Do Not Play” and “Special Moments”. You’ll fill these out according to your preferences, and with this information, we get an accurate vision of what your day will look like. In fact, we love working with you to customize exactly what your cocktail and dinner music will sound like. It’s your day, so let’s make it as identity driven as possible. For dance-floor songs, we observe the dance floor closely and play songs accordingly. It’s what we do best! 🙂
We require a plugin with 120-volts, and a 15-amp circuit on a grounded outlet. The plugin also needs to be within 40 feet of the DJ booth. We do require power provisions be made for all services requested (including beach ceremonies) as we do not offer generators or battery operated equipment.
Up to six hours of the reception are included. Beyond that time frame, see our PRICING PAGE.
Very involved. We help you create a down-to-the-minute timeline for your reception. On your wedding day, we work with all of your other vendors to make sure everybody is on the same page.
Yes. Our standard dance lighting, our deluxe dance lighting, uplighting and wall art. See pricing page for descriptions.
Absolutely. We love them too! We beat match most of our transitions throughout the night, to hear some sample mixes, click here.
In response to the first question: we do act as the emcee of the wedding receptions that we DJ. As for the second question, we consider ourselves the least cheesy wedding DJ’s & MC’s. Cheesiness bugs us as much as it bugs you. We only speak what is necessary. We ensure that everything runs smoothly and that your guests are well informed and comfortable. It’s about you, not us.
No, we specialize in weddings. However, our sister company PRISM EVENTS can help you there! — www.prism.events
First, you’ll never hear silence in between the songs we play. Our song-mixing skills are unparalleled. You’ll feel like you’re hearing one long dance song, as each song seamlessly blends into the next.
Secondly, we understand you. We know most people are horrified by stereotypical Wedding DJs. We are too. However, we break that mold. We are young and we speak your cultural language. This affects our song selection as well — The Chicken Dance just isn’t our thing.
We do all of the song planning via Google Docs. We’ll send these your way the moment you book our services. You’ll tell us your dance requests and you can indicate which of them are “Must Plays.” Additionally, you can choose songs for your “Do Not Play” list, and you can be sure that we will not play them during your reception. It truly is your night and your party!
It is important to know though in regards to requests that we do read the crowd and if certain requested genres and styles just are not working, we may do whatever we need to do as far as song selection goes to ensure that the dance floor is packed. The solution to this is to make a list of all the songs you and your fiancé would love to have at your reception, and then include songs you think your guests would love to dance to as well.
